Vertical Access has become an approved AIA Continuing Education System (CES) provider.

The AIA Continuing Education System is comprised of more than 2,500 educational providers who offer their services through a wide range of formats-from conferences, lectures and workshops to seminars, online courses, and self-study. Vertical Access is pleased to be joining the ranks of these educators.

With their years of experience in the architecture and engineering world, their work as industrial rope access professionals, and their knowledge of historic preservation, and preservation technology, Vertical Access partners Kent Diebolt, Kelly Streeter and Evan Kopelson are available to present courses such as "Using Technology to Document Historic Buildings," "Using Industrial Rope Access for Facade Ordinance Inspections" and other topics designed to meet the needs and interests of course participants. Some available courses are described below.

Using Technology to Document Historic Buildings Preservation architects, engineers and others involved in the renovation of historic buildings agree on the importance of an efficient discovery phase. This course focuses on the components of a successful discovery phase and reviews the available technological tools that can help to improve the collection and management of information from building surveys as well as development and incorporation of tools to improve the process on site and process the resulting information

Using Industrial Rope Access for Façade Ordinance Inspections Industrial Rope Access (IRA) can provide a low-cost solution to planning for building repairs and maintenance and for complying with façade ordinances. This presentation will review the history of IRA worldwide and the growing popularity of the method in the United States. Commonly used IRA equipment will be introduced and explained. The evolution of specific industry and consensus standards related to industrial rope access will be reviewed, including OSHA, ANSI and ASTM.
