Building description
Magnificent open offices wind around a 160-foot rotunda with atrium and glass ceiling reaching 16 floors above the main roof. The facade is comprised of 24,600 separate panes of glass mounted on steel space frame structure enclosing a massive 1.2 million square feet.

Scope of work
  • assisted with a thorough hands-on inspection of the rotunda walls, roof and curving setback walls for compliance with the City of Chicago facade inspection ordinance
  • trained the structural engineer at Vertical Access¹ annual two-day training course
  • accompanied the structural engineer on the building for the duration of the job
