Building description
The Museum building itself is a work of art. Modeled after a Greek temple, the facade is comprised of pure Kasota
dolomitic limestone and polychrome terra cotta glazed blue roof tiles. Covering ten acres of ground, the Museum contains more than 200 galleries.
Scope of work
- Provided temporary fall protection to access a series of massive tile roofs.
- Developed scaled and dimensioned partial roof plans for each gutter and measued gutter slope using a laser level.
- Created a series of detailed sections and isometric drawings to document existing gutter, valley and flashing configurations.
- Employed a fiber-optic diagnostic tool (the See Snake) to investigate internal copper leaders and cast iron drains.
