The Administration Building of the Christian Science Church is a 28-story structure on the east side of the Christian Science Center in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. The building has a long, narrow footprint, with windows arranged in rows on the east and west façades and rounded elevator and stair towers at the north and south ends. Constructed of reinforced concrete with projecting window jamb fins and coffered soffits between floors, the Administration Building is one component of I.M. Pei's master plan for the headquarters of the First Church of Christ, Scientist that also includes the 3-story Sunday School and 5-story Church Colonnade Building, all set around a 670-foot long reflecting pool.

Scope of work
  • Using hand tools, VA removed concrete at incipient spall locations previously identified by owner's consultant.
  • Installed lined netting system at crack locations where concrete removal was not feasible.
  • Assisted owner's consultant with access to examine conditions on building facade.
