Documentation of Existing Facade Condtions in the Field
A Comparison of Two Methods

Like others who conduct building surveys and assessments, Vertical Access technicians use a notation system of fault codes developed to reflect conditions observed in the field. Although this system was developed as a standard notation, there is inevitably some variability in how conditions are recorded due to the fact that notes were still taken by hand and by different technicians. In this process, interpretative and transcriptive errors may result when drafting field notes into the final graphical product.
