Documentation of Existing Facade Condtions in the Field
A Comparison of Two Methods

Placing the appropriate representative icon -- circle, square, line, etc. -- on the drawing automatically opens the window containing the pull-down menus for the three database fields, allowing the user to specify the type of damage encountered.

Upon closing the menu screen, the attribute tag remains embedded in the file, revealing only the graphical fault icon. This allows for a relatively uncluttered drawing.

Due to the limited screen size available, the attribute tags would soon completely obscure the elevation. To help orient the user on the building, we superimpose strings of numbers across the elevation, representing different floor levels.
